Avalon at Bear Creek Leasing Office and Resident Lounge – Redmond, WA

4D Architects worked closely with Avalon Bay Communities, the interior designer and contractor in this renovation of the leasing office, resident lounge, and fitness center. The primary goal was to create a more open and modern plan that better accommodates the needs of staff and residents of the community, and at the same time, design an inviting space that is a major selling point to potential residents. The result is a larger entertaining space that can be opened to a more modern, comfortable lounge area by means of sliding barn doors.

The interior lighting was completely replaced with a combination of art glass fixtures, energy saving fluorescent fixtures and low voltage accent lighting. This lighting upgrade was designed as a complete system by 4D Architects and coordinated closely with the interior designer to meet the design intent of the new space and to follow the new energy code. The outcome is a much more efficient and flexible lighting system that provides far better light quality than the original.
